Hey I'm Jane

Reggie and Olivia’s Detroit engagement session at the Fisher Building and Cadillac Place was the perfect blend of timeless, intentional, and effortlessly elevated.

From the moment we started, they showed up fully as themselves. Confident, relaxed, and completely present with each other. It’s the kind of dynamic that allows me to do what I love most. By offering just enough direction to create something refined and intentional, while still letting their connection lead the way.

The result are photographs that feels both elevated and true to them.

Why Engagement Sessions Matter More Than You Think

One of the things Olivia shared with me really stuck:

She told me the reason she chose me for their engagement photos was because I asked what she wanted out of her session and asked to see her inspiration.

Your engagement session isn’t just about taking photos. It’s about understanding your vision, your dynamic, and what actually feels like you.

Before every session, I take time to learn what you’re drawn to. Whether that’s something more editorial, more relaxed, or a mix of both. I want to know how you envision your photos feeling, not just how they look.

Because when you feel seen and understood going into your session, everything changes.

You show up differently.
You feel more comfortable.
And the photos reflect that.

A Mix of Guidance and Intention

I’ll guide you every step of the way so you never feel awkward or unsure of what to do. But I’m also paying attention to the in-between moments, the subtle shifts, the way you naturally connect.

With Reggie and Olivia, that trust allowed us to create something that feels timeless, clean, and elevated without ever feeling forced.

Every movement had intention.
Every photo felt like them.

Planning Your Engagement Session

If you’re starting to think about your own engagement session, my biggest advice is this:

Come into it with a sense of what you love—but also trust the process.

I’ll help guide you, refine your vision, and make sure you walk away with photos that feel effortless, elevated, and true to you. Reach out and let’s start planning.
