Christina and Rob | A Classic Detroit Wedding Day

Christina and Rob’s wedding day felt thoughtful, meaningful, and full of love from beginning to end. Every part of the day flowed perfect, with so much time carved out for spending time with the people who matter most to them. And the kind of wedding that feels calm but emotional in all the right ways.

They began the morning getting ready at The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, surrounded by close family and friends. While Christina’s mom helping with dress details and her sister helping with shoes, the whole room was filled with so much excitement and happy tears. One of the most meaningful moments of the morning was Christina’s first look with her dad. It was emotional, sweet, and one of best moments of the day.

Not long after, Christina shared a private first look with Rob. The two of them took a few minutes just for themselves to spend time together and read their vows. No distractions, no rush — just soaking it all in before heading off for portraits.

Wedding Photos at the Detroit Institute of Arts

For portraits, we headed to the Detroit Institute of Arts, one of my favorite locations for wedding photos in Detroit. The clean lines, natural light, and elegance of the space gave Christina and Rob the perfect backdrop.

A Ceremony at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament

Their ceremony took place at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The ceremony was stunning and emotional, filled with meaningful moments.

An Elegant Celebration at the Colony Club

From the moment guests entered, the celebration at The Colony Club was classic and timeless. The details, and soft lighting created an atmosphere that felt elevated without feeling overdone.

The reception was filled with heartfelt toasts, full dance floors, and friends and family joining in during special moments throughout the night. It was the kind of celebration where everyone felt included — joyful, emotional, and genuinely present.

Christina and Rob’s wedding day was a beautiful reflection of who they are — intentional, classic, and centered around the people they love most. It was an honor to document such a meaningful day in Detroit.
