Liz and Matt got married in the heart of Detroit at the beautiful Shinola Hotel over this past weekend. The Shinola hotel is a luxurious space and a perfect venue for a wedding. Liz and Matt’s wedding was sophisticated and elegant and all around matched their style. These two are something special and I’m ever so thankful they found their way to me. Both of them and their families are so opening and you instantly feel like you’ve known them forever!
The details from the wedding were on point. Once of my favorite parts of a wedding day is seeing the bride’s dress and how it matches their personality. Liz’s dress was minimalist and classy and I felt like it truly matched her. The bridesmaid’s dresses were a beautiful dark green velvet and it’s safe to say I was obsessed and honestly wanted to steal each and every one of them. Matt and his groomsmen suits were well tailored and neat. And the bouquets… don’t even get me started on the bouquets but lets just say they had succulents – swoon.
Enough about details though. More about this couple and this wedding. The amount of love that was present during the ceremony and reception is unforgettable. Not going to lie, but I’m usually not a fan of speeches but I loved the speeches from their wedding. Liz’s dad and sisters always come in clutch with their speeches and always make the room laugh. Matt’s dad and two childhood friends gave wonderful speeches as well. I don’t think I have ever laughed so hard in my entire life, I was in literal tears.
I cherish being able to be apart of my bride and groom’s wedding day. Liz and Matt have been so wonderful, easy going, and perfect throughout their entire wedding planning process. I wish these two nothing but love and happiness and I’m so elated that I was able to celebrate with them and their families on such an important day.
